Each November aspiring writers sit down to write with thousands of others across the nation. Started by a group of friends in San Fransico ten years ago, they have had the nightmare of watching it grow. The object is easy, a 50,000 word novel written in one month. Not to say that writing 50k in one months is easy, but the concept is simple.
Of the 100,000 people last year to participate at the NaNoWriMo 10% finished the 50k goal. This year a few writers at Second Wind Publishing have decided to participate as well. Anything to help future writers and promote the growth of litarary arts is a fabulous way to spend our time.
So please keep an eye at NaNoWriMo for the progress of a world and here for our personal progress. Of course as always we want to hear from our readers so leave us your progress as well.

So, I did agree with a few of my fellow Second Wind Authors to officially participate in NaNo this year. And how did I spend the first day of November?
I stayed up well past the midnight starting point to write on my October project that I have yet to finish. I worked on a website because it’s hard to concentrate on writing with a husband and child playing video games at excessive volumes. I took my car to the mechanic. I cooked and cleaned, as usual.
Pat was right in her article today, there is always something to procrastinate over. Even sadder, normal life is one of them.
So how did you spend your first NaNo day?

It’s amazing what one can accomplish while procrastinating! I spent all day yesterday researching book marketing, but I did write a page of my WIP last night — about all I can do at a time, which is why I didn’t sign up for NaNo.
Wishing you many words.

I signed up for Nano. Again. For the third year in a row. Hopefully, this year, I’ll actually start and finish it LOL

Day two of NaNo down. Still nothing on paper. Was mostly working on continuations of my previous days distractions.

Update:
I’ve been busy working. Unfortunatlly it’s still on my October project. I do plan for it to be done by the end of the week which means I can move on to the next project.
